The power of genetics rests partly in its lack of bias. Often the hypothesis-driven approach to biologic problems creates selffulfilling prophecies, as experiments are constructed to prove the hypothesis rather than to test it. Genetics is also a source of surprise. If one accepts that a particular biologic system has complexity that extends beyond the bounds of the investigator’s imagination,genetics is the tool with which to probe it. Hypotheses are, after all, restricted to what one can imagine. Very commonly, genetics will disclose an essential requirement for a molecule that would never have been “guessed” to be involved in a particular process.

Вот, черным по белому, то за что я ее не люблю :)
Это разные способы жизни. Я бы добавила еще, что очень редко с языка генетики что то можно перевести на структурный язык, чаще всего, без молекулярной биологии, знание остается мертвым, бессмысленным.
Мне все равно, мне просто не надо было соваться туда, лучше бы к поляку-биофизику пошла, но у него жена ревнивая, страшно было, и цитирование нулевое при качественных статьях :)
